Location

Medina sunset is a spacious apartment in the historic town of Medina Sidonia.

Located in the heart of the province of Cadiz in the Bull Route, between the mountains and the sea, Medina Sidonia has a splendid view of country-side and the Bay of Cadiz.

A visit to this town entails traveling through history. Within its streets we discover past civilizations which are now part of its memory and legacy.

This 3,000 year old town has been declared Historic and Artistic Zone and of Cultural Interest, and was given a Prize for the Beautification of Andalusian Towns. It is well known for its beautiful white streets, its railed balconies and Windows and its much appreciated, genuine and delicious traditionally made cakes and its vast gastronomy.

Medinia Sidonia Fesivities & Gastronomy

Medina Sidonia being a lively and cultured town celebrates numerous festivities all year round.

The culinary art of this town is well known by its rich and varied gastronomy. The products used in the typical dishes include rabbit, baby goat, pork, venison, hare, Spanish oyster plant, asparagus, small snails and large snails.

There is no doubt Medina Sidonia is the cake and pastry making capital of the province, such as amarguillos (sweetmeat and bitter almonas), polvorones (crumbly shortbreads), tortas pardas (sponge cake filled with citron jam), yemas (delicacy made off egg yolks, pastas (tea cakes/, piñonates (pine nut cakes), mantecados (Christmas lardy cakes), pestiños (honey fritters) and most typical cake from Medina alfajor (rich almond fudge), Its recipe has been passed down for centuries over many generations.

New base units, cooker, hob, sink, hob, extractor, fridge/freezer, glassware, cutlery, microwave. Seperate wash/drying room with sink and washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Living room/ Dining room

Built in sofa (Moroccan style) seats 5, coffee table, armchair, dinning table 6 chairs. Full-length double door to balconette. TV and DVD.

Terrace

View towards the sea. Built in seating and barbecue.

Car parking

Underground for 1 car.

Access

Apartment is on the 1st floor up 2 flights of steps, roof terrace is one flight above that and has separate access to the apartment.

Cleaning/ towels

All the towels (bathroom) and linen are included and are changed weekly. The property is cleaned at the start of your stay. Mid-rental maid service is available at an additional charge to the client – please apply for prices.

Additional facilities/services

The following are available for a small charge (prices on request). Heaters, Baby Monitors, Travel cot and bedding, pick up from airport. Welcome pack (milk bread etc.)
