Casa Pico is in a beautiful area called La Coquina, that is surrounded on three sides by National Park land, a mixture or tidal streams, salpans and salt marsh. This gives a tranquil quality to this superb residence although only a 2 mins drive from the bustling village centre of Carboneros where you can find shops, supermarkets, banks, bars and restaurants.

If you have an interest in Bird life you will see every thing from vultures to bee eaters, pink flamingos and marsh harriers. La Coquina is for birds a stop off point on the migratory routes they take from far north to deep south, the most exotic pass this way.

A drive of a few mins will take you into the centre of Chiclana a busy little city with a very good daily market just above the car park. Great for fresh fish, fruit, spices, delicatessens, bakery and butchers.

The fine beach of the Barrosa and Sancti Petri are just three and a half kilometers away. Here there are many fine restaurants offering excellent seafood at reasonable prices. The gently shelving beaches are clean, blue flag, washed by the Atlantic twice a day.

If you want activities, this is a great starting place with boat trips, sailing, canoeing, fishing, wind surfing at Sancti Petri and good surfing all along the Barrosa. Horse riding, Golf and painting schools, bike hire, quad hire will keep the most hyper active busy.

A must see is Cadiz the oldest continually inhabited city in Europe only 30 mins drive away. Seville the capitol of Andalucia is only an hour and a half away by car. The pueblo blanco hill towns of Medina Sidonia, and Verjer are only 20 mins away.

A holiday here has it all.

Accommodation

Casa Pico has its own 8 x 5 pool, bbq and patios.

Inside it contains all modern amenities to make your stay comfortable and pleasant, consisting of 3 Bedrooms, the master has en-suite and aircon, a double bedroom and another with 2 sets of bunk beds. There is also a family bathroom. The Fitted Kitchen has all the usual appliances including dishwasher, washing machine and Fridge Freezer. There is also plenty of storage. The lounge dinner is bigger than usual with a six seater table. The lounge area has two sofas and an arm chair. Satellite Free View with DVD. An attrative ceiling fan and air con will keep you cool in the hottest weather. Outside there is a barbecue and a very attractive dinning table and chairs under a large shaded area that goes around two sides of the home. There is plenty of off road parking space.
