Casa Rosa was my home for many years, and it still would be if I had not needed to return to England. The property is located in the popular village of Pago del Humo, on the outskirts of Chiclana de la Frontera. The home is fully registered and legal, with a legal electricity supply and its own meter. Water comes from two sources: one is a well, which is used for flushing toilets and topping up the swimming pool; the other is a 10,000-litre tank, which I have filled approximately every six weeks with drinking water at a cost of €80. I use this water for the showers and kitchen supply. These could all come from the well, but the well water is salty. The house sits on a plot of approximately 500 m², with a small garden and a shaded outdoor area for al fresco dining. The swimming pool measures 4 m x 10 m. There is also a guest house with its own bathroom, double bed, and air conditioning. The main house has three bedrooms and a separate large kitchen with granite worktops. Double doors lead into the dining and lounge area, which has air conditioning and a wood-burning stove set into a fireplace with a pink marble lintel. The lounge area has French windows opening onto the garden. A hallway leads to the three bedrooms and one bathroom. The master bedroom has French windows, built-in wardrobes, a large en-suite bathroom, and air conditioning. The second double bedroom also has air conditioning, French windows, and built-in wardrobes. The final double bedroom has a large window overlooking the garden, roller security blinds, and a fitted wardrobe.
